Mission: Advancing education by fostering and promoting a knowledge of alpine plants within New Zealand and their cultivation and for that purpose to hold meetings and exhibitions, publish papers, books and journals, organise visits to rock and alpine gardens, field trips and generally to promote any activity that is consistent or will provide these objects.
