Methodology
- Subsidiaries are sourced from iwi annual reports and linked to the shared companies registry via NZBN and Companies Office number matching.
- Director data comes from the NZBN API (New Zealand Business Number registry), which publishes officeholder records for registered NZ companies.
- “Known People” indicates directors who have been matched to an individual in our cross-platform people database (shared.people), enabling cross-referencing with NZX boards, Parliament, and charity governance.
- Company status reflects the current registration status from the Companies Office. Not all subsidiaries have been linked to a registered company.
- Cross-platform connections are determined by checking whether a matched director also appears in the NZX directors table, the MPs table, or the charity officers table.
